Plenty to Do

Plenty to Do in San Pedro & Ambergris Caye

The island provides a range of activities to fill your days. Your stay in San Pedro would not be complete without visiting Hol Chan Marine Reserve. The conservation efforts have resulted in an incredibly healthy marine ecosystem allowing you to see a variety of coral and life while snorkeling. Shark Ray Alley, within the reserve, was named “one of the best animal dives in the Caribbean”. Many other great dive sites dot the local Barrier Reef as well. Scuba diving trips to Lighthouse Reef Atoll, home of the famed Blue Hole, and Turneffe Islands Atoll are quite the adventure. The saltwater flats around the island offer exceptional fly fishing for tarpon and bonefish. The reef is great for snappers and barracuda while bigger game fish like marlin and tuna can be caught deep sea fishing. The iridescent waters around the island can be enjoyed with jet skies, windsurfing rigs and even kite surfing. It’s also ideal for sailing. You can even visit mainland attractions with a boat ride towards the coast. Lamanai, one of the largest Mayan ruins in Belize, combines Mayan history and a lush jungle experience. When you’re not relaxing under a coconut tree or enjoying a cold beer, San Pedro offers plenty to do, even yoga!
